The Optical Identification Terminal (OIT), is an optical identification system that
applies industrial image processing methods and is designed for use in automated production
processes, especially in harsh environments (such as those where temperatures fluctuate
cyclically) that make it difficult to use code carriers equipped with electronic components.
For the high temperature OIT system, rugged metal plates with hole
matrixes are used as code carriers, because they are well suited for temperatures up to
500°C (932°F) and high mechanical loads. The OIT system is easy to install and commission without complicated requirements.
Connector jacks for switching out devices quickly, and a control system with simple command
sets that are sent over a Ethernet network assure easy operation.
OITControl provides you with a clearly arranged user interface for convenient and easy OIT
operation. With the use of an XML configuration file, you can adapt OITControl to meet the
particular requirements of your plant.
Tasks carried out by OITControl include establishing the connection to OIT system, setting
operating parameters, maintaining the system and transmitting and displaying data and error
diagnostics. |
